Anthony Quinn, born April 21, 1915 in Mexico, was not only a famous actor but also a self-taught artist (painter and sculptor) who had a passion for art from an early age, won architectural competitions, and later, especially in the 1970s, pursued painting intensively and exhibited internationally. He died in 2001 in Boston.
The portfolio "The Great Spirit" contains ten expressive, colorful lithographs with spiritual-cultural motifs. In his works, Quinn combined his Mexican-Irish origins with universal themes such as humanity, strength, and spirituality.
